Eulogy: Sr Maria Regina fdnsc (8.10.1932 - 2.1.2022)
May the Sacred Heart of Jesus be Everywhere Loved!
As we were moving towards the close of the beautiful Feast of the Epiphany, our much-loved Sister Maria Regina was blessed with her longed-for epiphany, the vision of God, face-to-face. At approximately 9.00pm on Sunday, 2 January, she gently slipped into the embrace of God whom she had lovingly and generously served
Eulogy: Sr Patricia Mary Mawn fdnsc (9.5.1926 - 6.9.2021)
I want to say one word to you and this word is joy. Wherever consecrated people are, there is always joy! - Pope Francis
This simple statement is a beautiful summary of our dear Sr Patricia Mawn’s whole life: a rich life of 95 years, lived with Jesus and for Jesus. On September 6th our dear Sister Patricia or Pat as she was known gently and peacefully breathed her last breath as she surrendered to her loving God whom she had served lovingly and faithfully as a Daughter of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart for over seven decades.
Australia’s current Border Protection Policy
Dear Prime Minister,
I am writing this letter on the eighth anniversary of former Prime Minister Kevin Rudd’s announcement that no person seeking asylum by boat would ever be resettled in Australia.
Every person arriving after that date was to be subjected to indefinite detention on Manus Island, PNG, or in the Republic of Nauru, under ‘processing’ arrangements between the Australian Government and those Pacific states.
Sr Theresa Chue fdnsc RIP (26.12.1930 - 23.6.2021)
Sr Teresa Chue, requested that there be no eulogy at her funeral and we will honour her request.
We have all had the opportunity to share memories of our dear Sister, Teresa over these past days and what has come through strongly was her deep love of the poor, her prayerfulness, missionary spirit, generosity and her gracious appreciation of the many ways God loved her throughout her life...
Eulogy: Sr Mary Batchelor fdnsc (15.11.1928 - 6.6.2021)
Sr Mary Batchelor RIP …Seven decades of generous service to God and God’s people as a Daughter of our Lady of the Sacred Heart
And he will raise you up on eagle's wings, bear you on the breath of dawn, make you to shine like the sun and hold you in the palm of his hand.
Apology to Our Indigenous Sisters and Brothers
Statement from Sister Philippa Murphy FDNSC, Provincial Leader of the Daughters of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart in relation to Garden Point Mission, Melville Island
Yesterday I was privileged to meet personally with many of our Indigenous sisters and brothers who were taken from their families and brought to Garden Point Mission on Melville Island, between 1942 and 1969.

My Song will be for you forever you the music in my Heart.
My soul is thirsting for God, the God of my life: when can I enter and see the face of God?
Proclaim everywhere the love of the heart of Jesus.
Any Catholic who claims “to defend the sacredness of every human life” must combat racism and exclusion in all its forms. - Pope Francis
